Inspired by the monolithic figures carved by the Rapa Nui people on Easter Island and reimagined as a 1970s cartoon character, Big Boy stands 5 feet tall with a further 3 feet of galvanised steel foundation.
Big Boy is comprised of three glass panels of coloured, hand-cut, mouth-blown pieces of Polish glass, held in place by lead came depicting mouth, nose and eyes, with each inlayed into a large piece of aged oak.
The wood is treated and laminated and fits into a 600mm hand-welded, galvanised iron base (see images below). The piece is perfect for displaying in the open and ideally suited for a garden.
