Piet Mondrian’s Composition A was painted in oil on canvas in 1923 in the Neoplasticism style; the lines and colour combinations express general beauty and a definitive and mature form. Mondrian observed that he wants to come as close as possible to the truth and abstract everything from that. Composition A’s horizontal and vertical lines are painted with awareness, and led by high intuition, bringing harmony and rhythm.
TM Composition A replicates the lines, geometric shapes, and colours of Mondrian’s piece in hand-cut glass and lead solder and is retained in a zinc frame. This panel is harmonious and the ambient light influences the hues and tones.
